53 Lakhs Farmers Get Rs 2000 Each under Kalia Scheme in Odisha

BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday disbursed Rs 2,000 each to more than 53 lakh farmers across Odisha under KALIA scheme. A total amount of Rs 1,272 Crore  has been disbursed among beneficiaries. CM said he wants farmers of his state to prosper & live with respect. #OdishaCares

Chief Minister Patnaik said that the hard work of farmers have brought improvement in the agriculture sector and saved the economy despite #COVID19. CM saluted their sacrifice and hard work and added that Odisha has been constantly working for the welfare of the farmers through various schemes.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Patnaik discussed about KALIA assistance with farmers of various districts. Farmers mentioned how the assistance helped them & thanked the CM for rolling out the scheme. Speaking about MSP, Chief Minister Patnaik said Odisha Government has been repeatedly demanding the Centre to double MSP.
