Yusuf Pathan’s Protective Pretext: Is He Playing to the Larger ISI Script of Demographic Warfare, Shielding Illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya Migrants from Action in Odisha?

BHUBANESWAR:    Yusuf Pathan’s recent statements, accusing the Odisha government of harassing migrant workers, are not rooted in any actual crisis in Odisha but are instead a calculated response to the frustration of a larger geopolitical-subversion script. This is not about the legitimate Hindu citizens of West Bengal, but about shielding illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya migrants, the overwhelming majority of whom belong to the Muslim community, many of whom fraudulently claim to be West Bengal residents.

The timing and nature of his intervention are clear indications that the ISI, having grown impatient with the progress of demographic audits and national security measures, has orchestrated a pre-emptive reaction through political fronts like the TMC. This reaction is designed to obstruct any potential actions by the Indian state aimed at identifying and deporting illegal immigrants—particularly in the wake of Odisha’s preparations for the national population census.

Pathan’s statements are part of a larger ISI script—an attempt to subvert India’s demographic integrity through premeditated manipulation and political interference. The Odisha government must recognise this for what it is — a deliberate and calculated effort to derail enforcement actions that would otherwise puncture the ISI’s larger demographic warfare strategy. Minister Suresh Pujari’s mild response to Yusuf Pathan’s protective pretext (as reported in Times of India) remains inadequate and fails to address the gravity of this national security threat. A more decisive and strategically articulated stance is necessary to confront and neutralise this pre-emptive political subversion.

The Principal Discourse: Odisha, Demographic Subversion, and the Calculated Shielding of Illegal Migrants

The Odisha government must come to terms with the uncomfortable reality that, although it may be late to acknowledge it, eastern India, and particularly Odisha, has now emerged as a key battleground in the larger geopolitical fight for India’s demographic integrity. This region, once peripheral to national security discussions, is now squarely at the centre of a well-calculated strategy of subversion. The term “front .5” (point-five)—denoting the second-tier two-and-a-half-front strategy deployed by adversaries of India—aptly encapsulates the situation. The subtle, but persistent, subversion of Odisha’s demographic structure has been unfolding for over fifty years, but today it has reached a critical and alarming phase. The demographic transformation of this state has evolved from a quiet infiltration to a highly orchestrated effort to undermine India’s national security interests, and Odisha has become a focal point in this larger battle for the very future of India’s social and political landscape.

Over the years, Odisha has been silently but steadily infiltrated by illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya migrants, who, under the façade of humanitarian relief, have embedded themselves within local communities. These migrants initially entered through Northeastern states and, over time, spread across neighbouring regions like West Bengal and Odisha, creating a growing socio-political-economic burden and—more worryingly—a grave national security threat. The ISI’s direct involvement in facilitating and supporting this migration cannot be overlooked. Through a long-term strategy of demographic manipulation, the ISI has attempted to reshape the socio-political structure of these regions to advance their broader geopolitical interests. The humanitarian narrative used to justify this migration is a mere veneer masking the true intention: reshaping India’s demographic fabric from within, thus altering the balance of power in the region.

In this fraught context, Yusuf Pathan’s protective pretext—his recent vocal defence of illegal migrants in Odisha—should not be seen as a simple political commentary but rather as part of a larger geopolitical script directed by the ISI. Pathan, an influential figure in the Trinamool Congress (TMC), is no stranger to contentious statements. However, his rhetoric on this occasion raises serious concerns about his tacit support—hand-in-glove—in a larger, orchestrated effort aimed at destabilising India’s national security framework. By accusing the Odisha government of harassing migrant workers, Pathan has positioned himself as a defender of illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya migrants, whose presence in India is a national security threat. His statements have been mindfully designed, perhaps at the TMC command centre, not to defend legitimate Bengali citizens of India, but to shield an illegally planted population—inserted as part of a larger geopolitical game that subscribes to the Ghazwa-e-Hind handbook—a thesis of civilisational subversion.

But why this intervention now?

The timing of Pathan’s statements is far from coincidental. The ISI’s growing frustration with India’s demographic audits and national security measures is palpable, especially as Odisha prepares for the national population census. This imminent census, paired with national security measures, represents a significant opportunity for the Indian state to identify and deport illegal migrants—an opportunity that the ISI sees as a direct threat to its long-term strategy of demographic subversion. The ISI has grown impatient with the Indian state’s increasing focus on the issue of illegal migration, and as the census approaches, they have opted to use political fronts like the TMC to intervene and derail the process before it even begins. Pathan’s statements are, therefore, a calculated pre-emptive reaction, designed to obstruct any state-led action that might disrupt the ISI’s demographic warfare strategy.

Pathan’s intervention is not an isolated political stance but an overt manifestation of an integral part of a larger, well-orchestrated plan—an ISI script aimed at sabotaging India’s sovereignty through demographic warfare. The ISI has long used the manipulation of population trends as a potent geopolitical weapon. The objective is clear: to alter the demographic composition of target regions, thereby disrupting the socio-political fabric of those areas and creating a permanent, destabilising influence. Odisha, once removed from the epicentres of national security concerns, is now a front where this demographic subversion strategy is actively unfolding.

Strategic Myopia in Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government’s Mellow Response to a Grave National Security Subversion

The Odisha government now faces an urgent need to acknowledge the reality of this strategic subversion. Minister Suresh Pujari’s mild response to Pathan’s intervention is not merely a failure of political rhetoric—it is an underestimation of the grave national security threat that illegal migration, facilitated by the ISI, poses to Odisha and India as a whole. While his response may have been intended to maintain political decorum, it lacked the decisiveness and clarity needed to confront this covert political subversion. The situation requires far more than just a restrained reply—it demands an urgent, strategically articulated response that unequivocally recognises the national security implications of illegal migration. Odisha’s leadership must step up, realising that the integrity of the state’s demographic structure is at stake and that half-measures or political gamesmanship have no place in this critical moment.

The response to Pathan’s statements must transcend the transient theatrics of political discourse. The Odisha government must adopt a firm and unequivocal position against the increasing infiltration of illegal migrants and the covert role of the ISI in orchestrating demographic manipulation. Pathan’s ostensibly protective rhetoric is not a mere political misjudgement; it is a component of a calculated geopolitical agenda—operating at the behest of the ISI through an established conduit involving the Mamata-ISI nexus—designed as part of a broader strategy aimed at destabilising India from within. The ISI’s objective of demographic warfare is not confined to the impending census; it is a sustained operation that demands vigilant, long-term political and security countermeasures by the Indian state. The Odisha government must respond with clarity, resolve, and strategic foresight to safeguard the state’s sovereignty and demographic integrity.

Time for Odisha government to Act Decisive:

The Government Must Recognise Pathan’s Statements as Part of a Sinister Geopolitical Subversion on Indian Soil. The ISI’s strategy to subvert India’s demographics and political stability through the illegal migration of Bangladeshis and Rohingyas is a clear and present danger. The Odisha government must respond decisively—not just with words, but through concrete actions that signal a commitment to upholding the integrity of the state’s demographic composition and protecting the sovereignty of the nation as a whole. The state’s response will determine whether Odisha remains a stronghold of India’s national security or becomes another vulnerable target in the larger battle for the country’s demographic future.

Alarming Flashpoints (To the Rescue of the Mellow Statements by Odisha Government) and, For Immediate Political and National Security Cognisance

1.Yusuf Pathan’s intervention is not an isolated political overreach, but a calculated manoeuvre in the ISI’s long-running demographic warfare strategy, specifically aimed at shielding illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya migrants embedded within Odisha under false pretences of harassment and victimhood.

2.The constituency of Yusuf Pathan, Berhampur, in the Murshidabad district, is widely regarded as a safe haven for illegal migrants, making it evident that many of its residents could likely be forged citizens of India. Therefore, it is crucial to consider who is making the comment and the context from which their statement is grounded, ensuring that the response is fitting and fined.

3.The protective rhetoric, couched as a defence of migrant workers, is a strategic smokescreen. It is intended to shield populations that are not merely undocumented but actively manipulated actors in a geopolitical destabilisation scheme threatening India’s demographic sovereignty.

4.A restrained response to the ISI’s demographic subversion exemplifies strategic myopia—a perilous underreaction at a moment that demands sharp clarity and immediate political resolve to counter an unfolding national security threat.

5.Odisha’s demographic integrity is no longer a local concern but a national flashpoint in the ISI’s wider campaign of demographic infiltration, which uses illegal migrants as invisible battalions to shift sociopolitical equilibria.

6.The upcoming population census represents a decisive opportunity for the Indian state to undertake enforcement and auditing. The ISI’s pre-emptive orchestration of political interference through TMC actors like Pathan is intended to preclude and puncture these vital state functions.

7.Odisha must recognise it is no longer a peripheral actor but a central theatre in the fight for India’s demographic and territorial sovereignty. Any equivocation now will be interpreted by adversaries as weakness.

8.The time for symbolic political posturing is over. A decisive, visible, and strategic response is required—not only to Pathan’s statements but to the entire machinery of demographic manipulation that has embedded itself silently over decades.

9.The Odisha state and government must treat illegal migration not as a humanitarian crisis, but as a covert demographic invasion—one that now bears the full weight of a pressing national security burden.
