BERHAMPUR: A voting awareness campaign was organised by Youth for Social Development, ANURA, ISARA and GPSS organization in Berhampur on 11th May 2024. These NGOs are organising a voters’ awareness campaign here today to apprise electors of the power and value of the votes.
“The turnout of voters is decreasing in every election, which is a big cause for concern. Through this campaign we are trying to tell people about the value and power of voting right. They also urged voters from all walks of life to cast their votes on 13th May. Through this campaign, we aim to demystify the electoral process and empower citizens to exercise their democratic right with confidence. Every vote matters, and by participating actively, citizens can shape the future of our nation.” Volunteers also sensitized the citizens to confirm the voter’s name in the voter list, identify their polling station, polling time, required documents while going to the booth, how to cast their vote on E.V.M and how to encourage their family, friends and colleagues to vote.
The Organisers urge all citizens to actively participate in the democratic process by registering to vote, educating themselves about the issues at stake, and casting their ballots on Election Day. Your vote is your voice, and together, we can shape the future of our nation through active civic engagement.
