Youth Congress called for Koraput bandh on October 4 in support for the posting of Junior teachers from undivided Koraput in their home districts

JEYPORE:  Agitation of outfits in undivided Koraput district over posting of junior teachers in their home districts made its way into undivided koraput district as aspirants from other districts were not allowed into different schools in the district to participate in the contract agreement signing process on Monday.

The Youth congress president  Sandeep samantray on tuesday called for koraput district bandh on October 4 in support for the posting of junior teachers from undivided Koraput in their home districts, threatening the Govt Samantray said koraput gives revenue from mining our entire natural resources are taken from our area and atlast employment is also been taken in the last govt and present government both look two side of one coin nobody is concern about our local employment.

Samantray demanded for immediate rescheduling the job criteria and giving priority to the local residents of undivided koraput district so that they can serve and gain from their own area he also said in the last many a time our MLA Jeypore Tara Prasad bahinipat has certain time raised questions at assembly in favour of local students but still there is no action taken by government.

Samantray said our area is a schedule area and the teachers coming here are from different area where we have a language bearers and also our own youths are are been neglected so it’s a long stand demand and the present government have to fulfill our demand and pass a resolution in favour of our student’s. Samantray also requested local commuters from irrespective of different political parties, religions, stakeholders, chamber of commerce , hoteliers, lorry association, bus Malik Sangha, traders, schools and colleges to unite and support the peacefull bandh in favour of our local youths.

Sources said as many as 184 teachers from undivided koraput district have taken transfer in the criteria on spouse ground While koraput 63, Nabrangpur 55, Rayagada 45 and Malkangiri 23.

Jyoti ranjan Mohapatra congress leader said the recruitment of junior teachers must be conducted as per districts of the candidates. He said the many of different parties irrespective of political thaughts, religion will join the Koraput bandh on October 4 against the state-level recruitment of junior teachers.

Pranab Kishore Nayak councillor of jeypore municipality came in support of the bandh and demanded Members from various social outfits to come in support in the protest demanding appointment of locals as junior teachers in the district. Nayak said only candidates from undivided Koraput should be posted in the district.Among other congress leader Debashish panda , Jatin hota, and Rakesh ku sahu where present.

District education officer said that the entire recruitment process of junior teachers including advertisement and online counselling was done by OSEPA and only the agreement signing process was slated in the town as per the state government’s direction.
