LUCKNOW: NTPC Northern Region Headquarters(NRHQ), Lucknow, celebrated World Water Day on March 22, 2025, promoting water conservation and sustainability. This year’s theme was , “Glacier Preservation,” emphasizing the role of glaciers in sustaining freshwater and climate stability.
The event began with a pledge-taking ceremony led by Sh. N. S. Rao, Regional Executive Director (NR), and Sh. Amreek Singh Bhogal, GM (OS).
In the august presence of Sh. K K Hota,CEO,NUGEL, Sh. Samiran Sinha Ray, Regional Head of HR, along with senior officials and employees, all participants committed to taking responsible actions for water conservation and the protection of natural resources.
Sh. Rao stressed the need for Net Zero Emissions, Water Positive Consciousness, and self-sustainable practices for a better future. He urged everyone to incorporate water-saving measures both at work and in daily life.
During the program Sh. Vipul Srivastava, AGM (Envt Mgmt.), highlighted the significance of the day, followed by a corporate film showcasing NTPC’s conservation initiatives.
