World Pharmacist Day celebrated at SOA School of Pharmaceutical Sciences Campus – 2nd Phulnakhara

BHUBANESWAR:World Pharmacist Day was celebrated on Thursday at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences – Campus-2, Phulnakhara, run by the School of Education and Research (SOE). The event, organized with this year’s theme ‘Think Health, Think Pharmacist’, was attended by faculty and staff of the institution.

Dr. Sujata Acharya, Additional Drugs Control, Odisha, was the chief guest at the event and spoke about the contribution of pharmacists in the healthcare sector. Emphasizing on this year’s theme, she said that the role of pharmacists is important in health management and at every level of life.
In his welcome address, Professor (Dr.) Durga Madhav Kar, Dean, SPS-2, said that the role of pharmacists in the provision of public health services and in the context of the increasing number of patients is unique.
In the program, Mrs. Mauli Das and Mrs. Prachi Rani Sahu provided detailed information on women’s health care and yoga.
At the end of the program, Assistant Professor Monalisa Rout of SPS-2 proposed the vote of thanks.
