BHUBANESWAR: State Works Secretary Dr Krishan Kumar has reviwed construction work for Netaji Bus Terminal in Cuttack. The site has been fully secured to initiate work. Dr Kumar asked officials and engineers to expedite the work and complete it within the stipulated time.
“The construction work at Cuttack’s Netaji Bus Terminal was reviewed today by Dr. Krishan Kumar @Krishan_Kumar09, Commissioner-cum-Secretary @PWD_Odisha along with Er. Jaya Krishna Das, MD @OBCC_Odisha. The site has been fully secured to initiate work,” Odisha Bridge Construction Corporation tweeted @OBCC_Odisha.
The Cuttack Netaji Bus Terminal ( CNBT) is being built over an area of 17.91 acres in Khan Nagar. The terminal will help in easing the traffic flow of the buses in Cuttack and provide comfortable facilities for the passengers at the terminal. The project is scheduled to be completed by August 2022.
The new Netaji bus terminal, Cuttack will be state-of-the-art facilities to promote hassle-free movement of passengers from arrival to departure. The Inter-state Bus terminal will have a built-up area of 11,000 sq.m. There will be 180 bus bays along with parking space for 274 vehicles in the ISBT. Area of around two acres adjoining the proposed Netaji Bus Terminal, Cuttack will be reserved for development of commercial complex on Public Private Partnership mode. The terminal is being developed at a cost of around Rs 65-crore.
