CUTTACK/PHULABANI: Security forces manning the southern district of Kandhamal, on Friday exchanged heavy fire in dense forest of Gochhapada police limits and killed a women cadre.
Based on a reliable input, an operation was launched under Gochhapada PS in Kandhamal district using two units of SOG and DVF . During the course of operation an exchange of fire took place in the afternoon wherein one lady Maoist Cadre in uniform was neutralized with recovery of two fire arm and four rounds of bullets and other Maoists articles. Further search and combing operation has been intensified in the area.
