BHUBANSWAR: With the Bhubaneswar SDJM court completed hearing on petitions seeking bail for honey trap mastermind, Arachana Nag Chand and reserved the verdict, police inaction in this case, raised many eyebrows. Police inaction against Arachan’s husband Jagabandhu Chand and his associates Khageswar also under scanner.
Why police not taking the accused Archana Nag Chand on remand? This is now a big question. Police have arrested her under Sections 341, 328, 324, 354 – C, 370, 386/387/388, 389, 419/420, 465, 506, 120 – B of IPC and Section 66 -E, 67 of IT Act but nothing has done so far.
Since a week has been passed so far Arachana was arrested, police yet to approach court for her remand. ‘ If police continues to do so, Arachana will easily get bail and freed from jail,’ senior advocate Bana Mohanty said adding , he alleged , Police knowingly ignoring it. As many as 10 complaints were filed at Nayapalli, Mancheswar, Capital, Airport and Kharvel Nagar Police Stations Veteran Dama Rout also demanded proper investigations into the issue.
Kalahandi’s Archana in her Facebook profile mentioned that, she is owner at ABC motors & Aditya Villa Production House, Founder & Managing Director Golden Empress Private Limited and advocate with Orissa High Court.
