BIJEPUR/BARGARH/BHUBANESWAR: Union PNG-Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who on Friday campaigned for Bijepur by polls slated for October 21, however expressed surprise the way Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik betrayed the voters of the Assembly segment that voted him in last polls early this year.
Why Naveen left Bijepur ? Asked Dharmendra while urging people to vote for BJP . Pradhan said that, before the 2019 polls, Naveen had promised that he would see development of Bijepur but when elected, left the people, who voted for him.
BJP has fielded Sanat Gadtia while BJD pinned hope of former MLA Rita Sahu while Congress hoping on Dilip Panda.
By polls needed after Naveen resigned from Bijepur and kept his traditional seat of Hinjili in southern districts of Ganjam. Pradhan along with Party State president and Kalahandi Lok Sabha MP Basant Panda and others campaigned.
