NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: BJD Rajya Sabha MP and National Spokesperson, Dr Sasmit Patra on Friday said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has given total commitment to Centre to provide resources for western Odisha HC Bench while responding to presser by BJP. Shri Patra asked why Centre is not naming the location in consultation with Orissa HC is surprising.
Shri Patra added BJP should ask its party in power in Centre to establish the western Odisha HC bench using powers under Entry-78 of Union List through Parliament. Who is stopping them? Why is BJP misleading & indulging in falsehood on this sensitive issue? asked Shri Patra.
‘Whenever elections come, BJP starts shedding crocodile tears about HC bench in Western Odisha and after elections, they forgot,’’ MP Dr Patra added.
