Why Arcellor Mittal Skips Meeting? BJP Questions Puri MP Pinaki Mishra’s presence during CM’s Meeting with Nippon Steel in Japan

BHUBANESWAR:  While arguing that Puri has no major mineral resources like Iron, Ore and Bauxites while there was no plan for any major upcoming industries or Steel plant in this pilgrimage city , which houses the 12^th century old Shree Lord Jagannatha Temple , but as to why Puri’s Lok Sabha MP, Pinaki Mishra, who is legal advocate to many illegal mines owners, accompanied Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for Japan Trip and his presence was reported during a meeting with Nippon Steel, which plans Steel plants in Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur, BJP alleged.

The BJP also argued that those mine owners fought against Odisha, MP Pinaki Mishra was extending legal assistance to these illegal mine owners and now he was seen in meeting which the Saffron Party suspects third party interference. BJP also questions mysterious absence of Arcellor Mittal officials during CM Patnaik’s meeting with Nippon Steel in Japan.

The BJP leaders including Satya Panda, Dilip Mallick, Sujit Das, Rajendra Panda and Anil Biswal  have raised the credibility of CM Patnaik’s Japan visit.

Sharing 3 meetings in 3 different dates in which, former Union Steel Minister and present Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan coordinated with Nippon Steel and Arcellor Mittal for steel plants in Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur , the BJP leaders alleged that the CM Patnaik is fooling the people on this issue. BJP sought clarification from CM Patnaik over Steel plants of 30 Million Capacity.

Meanwhile, sources claimed Mishra might have included in the delegation as the State Government plans Cuttack-Bhubaneswar-Puri Metro Rail projects and eying funding on Japan’s JICA and as Puri MP, Mishra might be included . But while others argued that, if that was the case, then  Cuttack’s Bhartuhari Mahatab and Bhubaneswar’s BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi should have been also included but why only Puri MP.

BJP also sought clarification regarding Steel plant in Keonjhar. BJP also alleged that the CM Patnaik led delegation doing merrymaking in Japan but for investment purposes.
