CUTTACK: The shocking incident of murder of a woman cricketer Rajashree Swain, who could not make to the final list after team selection for a national event, has raised many eyebrows.
Swain was part of 25 members training squad and was unsuccessful to find a place in final list.
Swain, who hails from Puri district and was attending training , found hanging from a tree in a forest of Cuttack’s Athagarh area on Friday.
It is being suspected that she was murdered as the body bore injury marks while the eyes were damaged. If that’s true, then murdered her. Cuttack’s Mangalabag police is looking into the issue.
The parents of Rajashree had also met Odisha Sports minister in Bhubaneswar urging to trace their daughter at the earliest but shocking news came today.
