BHUBANESWAR: Under the flagship of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Walkathon commemorating “Saksham 2020” is going to be organised tomorrow at 29 districts across the State Odisha by Oil Industry (IOCL, BPCL, HPCL and GAIL).
SAKSHAM is a significant event which is organized from 16th January to 15th February every year jointly by Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) and Oil Industry under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas and guidelines of PCRA with sole purpose of bringing awareness among the people on need of Oil & Gas conservation and means to do it. During this one month period, various activities are carried out in sectors like Transport, Industrial, Agriculture and Household to spread the message on Fuel Conservation.
Among such awareness drive towards Oil & Gas Conservation, Walkathon is one of the most perfectly cogent reason where the impact on people’s mind is very high. In connection to this, Walkathon for the purpose of “Saksham 2020- an awareness drive on Oil & Gas Conservation” is going to be organized jointly by Oil Industry i.e. IOCL, BPCL, HPCL and GAIL tomorrow at 29 districts across the State Odisha.
These awareness programs can help all generations especially the future generations and how there is enough scope of conservation in the domestic and transportation sector. Students from various schools and colleges are going to participate in the Walkathon. The representatives of PSU Oil Companies, their Dealers and LPG distributors are also going to attend the function.
