BHUBANESWAR:  Voters voted enthusiastically in Odisha’s 4 Lok Sabha and 28 assembly elections today.  BJP thank all the voters who participated in the election.

Former State President and National Executive Member Samir Mohanty while addressing press along with Party leaders Dr Jatin Mohanty, Dilip Mallick and Sujit Das, said,  that in the first phase of the current election, 62.96 percent voting has been done by 5 pm. This certainly shows the tide of change in favor of the BJP in the state, which is associated with the Yashaswi Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modiji.

BJP always demands electoral reforms in particular. The National Election Commission is the first in Odisha to take direct action against officials involved in illegal activities by webcasting the current general elections. The National Election Commission has ordered the suspension and arrest of the presiding and polling officers in Gopalpur, Chhatrapur, Chikiti, Narla constituencies who have committed illegal activities. Some government officials are involved in illegal activities to influence the elections. So my humble request is not to disturb the festival of elections. It is our duty to maintain silence during the great festival of elections. Maintain impartiality in the conduct of elections entrusted to the National Election Commission (ECI).

Officials in charge of election management should not be under any pressure for their own benefit or to please their officials.  BJP has demanded to provide the political agents with Sevetin Cipher, EVM machine data such as how many votes were cast, how many ballots were left, EVM’s control unit, C.O.V. Strict action will be taken against the presiding officer who does not submit the 17 C form.
