BHUBANESWAR: The Ramco Cements Ltd, formerly Madras Cements Ltd’s upcoming Plant at Haridaspur in Jajpur district in Odisha came under fire after the mysterious death of Haridaspur Woman VLW Smitarani Biswal.

Even though contradictory reports coming over the death with Police saying it as a suicide while BJP and Congress alleging that its gang raped murder case, which needs a CBI probe. But after RAMCO Cement Company’s name figured in the murder mystery, things have started changing, pointing towards a pre planned murder.

RAMCO Cement Company has been facing stiff local resistance in Dharmasala block of Jajpur, where it is planning for a Cement plant. “The role of RAMCO Cement Company in this murder case needs special attention and the company officials, who was present at the time of incident at the Guest House owned by the accused Nandu Bhadra must be taken into task,” BJP leaders said in Bhubaneswar.

Why RAMCO Cement Company officials were a regular at the Guest House, owned by VLW murder accused Nandu Bhadra alias Rupesh Bhadra, husband BJD’s Haridaspur Sarapacha Madhusmita Bhadra? How much Bhadra and local MLA getting from RAMCO Cement company? RAMCO Cement company reportedly getting undue support from local BJD MLA Balabantray, who was recently stripped from the post of State Government’s Deputy chief whip post for his alleged role in Gangapatana land scam in the outskirt of Bhubaneswar.

Who killed Haridaspur VLW Smitarani Biswal? Why police till not seized the Guest House, where the VLW allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself. The Guest House owned by BJD leader Nandu Bhadra , alias Rupesh Bhadra, husband of local Sarapanch Madhusmita Bhadra.

Why Police yet not also seized the Scorpio, in which the dead body was shifted? Why Police took 24 hours or more time to arrest key accused Nandu Bhadra?. These are few now billion dollar questions for media after the BJP and Congress coining the incident as ‘Chabirani Part-II’.

Nandu Bhadra has very good connection with Dharmasala BJD MLA Pranab Balabantray and one of MLA’s brother, has business relations with the accused in VLW murder case. In total, Bhadra and MLA Balabantray’s brother has business link with RAMCO Cement Company, facing local resistance over land acquisition.

Instead looking for answers of these above mentioned questions, police seems buying time with Bijepur by-polls few hours left. Even though the prime accused in Haridaspur VLW under Dharmasala block of Jajpur Smitarani Biswal’s death case, local Sarapanch Madhusmita Bhadra’s husband , Rupesh Bhadra arrested, mystery continued to showered on Saturday with BJP alleging that the woman VLW has been gang raped and murdered instead police version of suicide.

BJP leaders Prakash Mishra, Lekhashree Samantsinghar , Goutam Ray while speaking to media in Bhubaneswar, shown photographs of the arrested accused Rupesh with Minister Arun Sahoo and Dharmasala MLA Pranab Balabantray. BJP demanded a CBI probe into the woman VLW death case and called for a 12-hour bandh in Jajpur district on October 21.

The BJP leaders also alleged that the Panchayat office at Harisdaspur remained closed all through while it functions at a Guest House, owned by the accused and his wife, sitting BJD Sarapanch. BJP also alleged that the accused has considerable influence in BJD’s Jajpur politics.

Congress also alleged that the police playing to the tune of ruling party and safeguarding the accused. PCC Spokesperson Satya Nayak said, apart from BJD leaders, RAMCO Cement company officials were also there in the spot. Why they were there? Asked Naayak.

Meanwhile, Jajpur SP Charan Singh Meena said the accused  Rupesh Bhadra, husband of Haridaspur sarpanch has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the mysterious death of VLW.

SP Meena said the prima facie shows Rupesh’s involvement in abetment of the VLW’s suicide. “Smitarani and Rupesh were in a relationship. However, some disturbances erupted between them few days back,” the SP added. Her post mortem report reveals that she died of asphyxia, the police official said.

Worth mentioning, Rupesh along with four others had been detained by police since Thursday for questioning in connection with the death case. On October 16, the body of the VLW was found hanging in a guest house owned by Rupesh in Baligari. After disbursing allowances in Bhadanga village, the VLW had gone to the guest.

While Rupesh and his four friends were busy with preparing meals, Smitarani had gone to the first floor of the guest house to freshen up. Later she was found hanging with her chunri from a ceiling fan in the guesthouse.

Demanding CBI probe into the death of her daughter, Sadananda Biswal, father of Smitarani today said, “My daughter was headstrong and it is unbelievable that that she could have committed suicide on her own as stated by the police. She must have been forced to end her life.”

While five persons were involved in the death of Smitarani, why one accused have been held, asked Sadananda.
