BHUBANESWAR: An elaborate virtual nursing training program under the auspices of Critical Care Foundation for critical care nurses in India and neighbouring countries was inaugurated recently at the SUM Ultimate Medicare here.
More than 100 nurses from India, neighboring countries and from some other nations participated in the virtual program with 30 international and national faculties imparting training to them. The three-week long program would contain 25 nursing lectures and demonstrations in critical care medicine aspects.
The training has provision for extensive interaction between the faculty members and nurses. The program, the first of its kind for nurses in India and neighboring countries, was initiated under the chairmanship of Dr. Narendra Rungta, past President of the Indian Society for Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM). This program will continue round the year from now.
The program was inaugurated by Prof. Banambar Ray, Head of Department of Critical Care at SUM Ultimate Medicare, in the presence of Dr. (Brig.) Biraj Mohan Mishra, Chief of Medical Services, Dr. Anand Mishra, Deputy Medical Superintendent and Consultant- Critical Care and Ayesha. N, Chief of Nursing Services, among others.
