BHUBANESWAR: A resolution has been passed in the Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal meeting of RSS held in Dharward, Karnataka on the 28th, 29th and 30th 0ctober condemning attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh.

Today in a press meet organised by RSS at BBSR, Sri Samir Kumar Mohanty, Pranta Sanghachalak, Odisha Purba said that an attempt has been made to create communal terror in Bangladesh on the basis of fake news as a part of planned attempt to decimate the Hindu society there. The resolution expressed anguish over the continuing brutal violence on the Hindu minorities there and the conspiracy of Jihadi organizations for the widespread Islamization of Bangladesh.

It has been said in the resolution that the real purpose of repeated violence targeting Hindu society is the complete extermination of Hindus from Bangladesh, as a result of which the population of Hindus is decreasing continuously since the time of Partition. The population of Hindus in East Bengal during Partition was about 28% (twenty eight percent), and it has now come down to about 8% (eight percent). A large number of Hindus had to migrate to India since the Partition, especially during the 1971 war, due to atrocities by radical Islamist groups such as the Jamaat-e-Islami (Bangladesh).

The Sangha expressed concern over the deep silence of the so-called Human rights watchdog organisations and UN organizations and called on the international community to come forward to condemn the violence and protect and defend Hindus, Buddhist and other minority communities of Bangladesh and also raise the voice for their safety. The emergence of radical Islamic power in Bangladesh or any other part of the world will prove to be a serious threat to the democratic system and human rights of the peace-loving countries of the world.

In the resolution, the karyakari Mandal appreciated ISKCON, Ramakrishna Mission, Bharat Sevashram Sangh, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and many other Hindu organizations and institutions for helping the families of the victims of violence. The Karyakari Mandal also requested the Government of India, to use all available diplomatic channels, to apprise the Government of Bangladesh regarding the concerns of Hindu society and institutions around the world about the invasions and human rights violation taking place in Bangladesh to ensure the safety of Hindus and Buddhists there.

After the relaxation of restrictions imposed in view of the COVID-19, Sangh resumed its direct work upto 54382 daily sakhas running across the country including 1302 Sakhas  in Odisha. Sangha is also running several activities related to the development of villages (Grama Vikash), organic farming (Jaivik Krishi), bringing awareness about the essence of the family system (Parivar Prabodhan), preservation of Cows (Go-Surakshya), environment protection (Paryavaran Suraksha), and Social harmony (Samajik Samarasata). The year 2025 is going to be the centenary year of Sangh. Hence there is a plan to engage full-time workers during this period for at least 2 years to take sangh work to all mandals.

Sangh will bring to light the unnoticed freedom fighters during the ongoing (75Years of independence) Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. This year also happens to be the 400th birth anniversary of the ninth Guru of Sikhs, Guru Teg Bahadur. Sangha will create awareness about the supreme sacrifices made by him for protection of Dharma and Sanskruti. Keeping in view the possibility of the Covid 3rd wave, Covid response teams have been formed at village and district level to deal with it. With the cooperation of the society, Sangha and Utkala Bipanna Sahayata Samiti (UBSS) provided help in every possible way to the affected persons and organised blood donations camps during the first and second wave.
