BHUBANESWAR:Elections are the backbone of a strong and robust democratic nation. Elections should be free, fair and impartial, which is auspicious for democracy. But sadly, the Biju Janata Dal has been ruling Odisha for 25 years, but during the elections, it has been trying to pass the elections in an undemocratic manner. The ruling party has lost its sense of self-interest due to the fear of losing the elections. Finally, the last hope of the BJD has become a child.

The election code of conduct was violated during the election campaign of former Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik in Nuapada constituency. BJD leaders used small children to welcome Naveen Babu at a program held in Taraboda village of Komna block. The scene of small children wearing BJD party flags, clothes and shouting slogans is being published in the media and social media. BJD has blatantly violated the Child Protection Act. This is a complete and blatant violation of the Model Election Code of Conduct. The BJP delegation has met the state election officer with the video and photos and demanded that strict action be taken against the culprits involved in this, said senior BJP leader Shri Golak Mohapatra.

The delegation included State Spokesperson Shri Dilip Malik, Legal Cell State Coordinator Jayant Jena, National Women’s Morcha Social Media Coordinator Sujata Padhi, and Satyaramiya Mukadam, Chief Justice.
