BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Vigilance was on Thursday laid trap on 2 corrupted Government officials and seized bribe money.
In first case, Nirmalendu Kabi, Amin, O/o- Tahsildar, Saintala in Balangir has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while taking bribe of Rs. 8,000/- from a Complaint for demarcation of his land as per orders of the Court of Tahsildar.
In this connection, Sambalpur Vigilance PS Case No.03/2024 U/s 7 P.C. Act, 1988 as amended by P.C. Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress.
In second case, Bikash Kumar Senapati, Accountant, O/o Block Education Officer, #Puri has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while taking bribe of Rs 5,000/- from a retired teacher for issue of NOC to release his gratuity.
In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS case no 4/2024 u/s 7 PC Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress.
