BHUBANESWAR: On Wednesday, short while ago, Dr.Pabitra Kumar Sethi, LRT, Medical Officer, Danagadi CHC, Dist-Jajpur along with Sri Abhiram Kandi, Security Guard has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe Rs.20,000/- from a Complainant for issue of post mortem report of his father who died recently on 31.3.2023 due to lightning. The entire bribe money has been recovered and seized from Dr Sethi.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at three locations of Dr.Sethi from DA angle.
In this connection, Cuttack Vigilance P.S Case No-08 dt.18.04.23 U/s- 7 P.C (Amendment) Act,2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against the accused Dr.Sethi and Sri Kandi. Detailed report follows.
