BHUBANESWAR: On Friday, Banamali Parida, Addl. Tahasildar, Gania Tahasil, Dist.- Nayagarh has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding & accepting bribe Rs. 13,000/- from a Complainant for release of his seized sand laden Hywa Truck. Sri Parida, Addl Tahasildar had demanded Rs.13,000/- bribe from the complainant and had collected first instalment Rs.10,000/- on 24.7.2023. Today, he was nabbed by the team of Odisha Vigilance while taking the balance bribe amount. The bribe money has been recovered from Sri Parida and seized.
In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS Case No.19/2023 U/s 7PC Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Sri Parida, Addl. Tahasildar. Detailed report follows.
