BHUBANESWAR: On Saturday, Sarojini Ekka, Child Development Project Officer(CDPO), Urban, Jharsuguda, in Jharsuguda has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe Rs.40,000/- ( Rupees Forty Thousand) from a Complainant (President of a SHG) for release of pending CHHATUA bill of previous four months.
The entire bribe amount of Rs.40,000/- has been recovered from accused Smt Ekka, CDPO and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Smt Ekka from DA angle.
In this connection, Rourkela Vigilance PS Case No.19 dt.04.08.2023, U/s 7 P.C. (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered.Investigation is in progress against accused Smt Ekka, CDPO. Detailed report follows.
