BHUBANESWAR: Bibhuti Bhusan Nayak, Assistant Engineer, O/o BDO, Salipur, in Cuttack has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe Rs.40,000/-(Rupees Forty Thousand) from a Contractor for release of amount relating to supply of cement, metal, sand etc. and labor for execution of 3 CC Roads.
The entire bribe money has been recovered from accused Sri Nayak, AE and seized. Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at three locations of Sri Nayak from DA angle.
In this connection, Cuttack Vigilance PS Case No.38/2023 U/s-7PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Sri Nayak, AE. Detailed report follows.
