Earlier, basing upon reliable information, on 08.09.2023 at 11 AM, Sri Debiprasad Mohanty, Superintendent Godown, Nimapara, Dist-Puri, Odisha State Warehousing Corporation, was intercepted by a team of Odisha Vigilance while he was waiting for bus at Nimapara and cash Rs.2.14 Lakh (suspected ill-gotten cash) was found in his possession. As Sri Mohanty could not account for satisfactorily, the amount was recovered from him and seized.
Following the interception, simultaneous searches are being carried out at 3 locations of Sri Mohanty from DA angle. He is being examined to ascertain the source of funds. Detailed report follows.
