BHUBANESWAR: Corrupted Chilika DFO Alok Ranjan Hota under scanner. The DFO is spending sleepless nights after Vigilance sleuths on Monday raided his properties for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Acting on the allegations against the official, a team of the anti-corruption wing carried simultaneous raids at his office in Balugaon, a house in Dumduma in Khandagiri, a three-storey house in Chandrasekharpur, an ancestral house in Biridi in Jagatsinghpur and a relative’s house in Padmapur under Balipatna police limits.
Sources said verification of several documents and papers relating to the incident is being carried out. The officials examined several documents and papers at the house of the accused to get the details of the properties owned by him. The raid was underway till the last report came in.
