BHUBANESWAR/JAGATSINGHPUR: Odisha Vigilance on Monday conducted simultaneous house searches at 9 places in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Bhadrak and Jagatsinghpur against Ramesh Chandra Panda, OAS Ex-Tahasildar, Kujang , now Tahasildar- Tihidi , Mahendra Prasad Mohanty, OAS, Retd, Ex- Sub-Collector, Jagatsinghpur.
They were booked for criminal misconduct, misappropriation, forgery and criminal conspiracy in illegally settling valuable Government land under the Odisha Government Land Settlement Act in favour of in-eligible beneficiaries under the Vasundhara scheme.
In this connection Vigilance Cell P.S. Case No. 4 dated 22.08.2021 U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(a) PC Amd. Act, 2018 along with 466/409/120-B IPC has been registered. 9 teams led by 1 Additional SP, 11 DSPs, 6 Inspector conducting the search. Investigation in progress, Odisha Vigilance said.
