BHUBANESWAR:It is a great coincidence that two of the greatest sons of India, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Veer Surendra Sai, were born on the same day in the land of Odisha. We call the movement of 1857 the first freedom movement of the country. But 28 years before that, Veer Surendra Sai had started an armed struggle against the British in Odisha. Surendra Sai had to spend 37 years of his life fighting for the motherland and he died in prison.
The name of such a freedom fighter should be at the top of world history. Similarly, Subhas Chandra Bose, born in Cuttack, has made many sacrifices for the country. The valor and sacrifice shown by these two great men in the service of the motherland is the pinnacle of this. With their courage, strong determination and strong leadership, both of them led the country on the path of freedom. The President said that their sacrifice will always be a source of inspiration for every Indian.
