NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR:  Odisha Government in association with FICCI on Thursday hosted Utkarsh Odisha –Make –in Odisha Conclave 2025 in New Delhi , which received massive response from Foreign Ambassadors.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Industry Minister Sampad Swain, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, ACS to CM Nikunja Dhal, Industry Secretary Hemant Sharma and others graced the occasion.

CM Majhi  addressed the event which witnessed presence of ambassadors from 34 Nations, industry leaders, and representatives from various sectors.

Chief Minister Majhi emphasized Odisha’s commitment to creating an investor-friendly environment, focusing on ease of doing business and supportive policies. “Our goal is to draw significant investments to Odisha, fostering partnerships that will drive economic growth and create employment opportunities,” CM said.

‘We look forward to making transition from a seller of minerals to the outside world into a manufacturer, converting this into value-added products through industrialization. This can only be possible with an industry-friendly ecosystem, which is the precondition for industrial development, said CM Majhi, during an interactive session with diplomats ahead of Make in Odisha Conclave 2025.

Odisha offers a conducive environment for businesses to thrive. We are fully committed to creating and enabling a global framework that enables the global companies to set up operations in the state. We are not only focusing on easing the entry of international business but also ensuring that investors have confidence in the regulatory environment, said Sampad Swain, MoS (I/C) for Industries, Skill Development and Technical Education, Government of Odisha.

The state of Odisha is now focusing on Human Resources and creating an ecosystem of skills and knowledge said, Manoj Ahuja, Chief Secretary, Government of Odisha during an interactive session with diplomats.

The conclave is part of the ‘Utkarsh Odisha’ initiative, designed to highlight the state’s dynamic industrial landscape and investment opportunities.

The Make-in-Odisha 2025 conclave, held in New Delhi, aims to attract investments exceeding Rs 5 lakh crore, showcasing Odisha’s potential as a prime destination for industrial growth and development.

The conclave featured one-on-one meetings between the Chief Minister and delegations from industry bodies, discussing Odisha’s industrial potential and the state’s strategic initiatives to attract global investments. Key sectors highlighted included food processing, IT, chemicals, petrochemicals, and tourism.

The event also served as a curtain-raiser for the main Make-in-Odisha Conclave, scheduled to be held in Bhubaneswar in January 2025. This upcoming summit is expected to further solidify Odisha’s position as a key player in India’s industrial landscape.
