BHADRAK: Update on Tihidi PS Case No. 197/2025. The incident that occurred on May 30, 2025, under Tihidi Police Station in Bhadrak district.

Case Details-
A case has been registered (Tihidi PS Case No. 197/2025) under Sections 126(2)/296/118(2)/109(1)/351(2)/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) based on the report of complaint concerning the assault of her husband, by accused persons.
*Investigation and Arrests*
The investigation revealed that a confrontation between two groups of individuals ensued over a dispute.
Despite efforts by deceased to de-escalate the situation, he was assaulted by accused persons.So far Twelve individuals have been arrested and presented before the Hon’ble Court:
*Police Arrangement*
To maintain law and order, prevent communal tensions, and ensure communal harmony in the district, 27 platoons of police force have been deployed.
Following elaborate police arrangement has been made:
– Deployment of police personnel (27Pltoons)for processions and route mobile patrolling
– Six Executive Magistrates has  been detailed to remain in charge of the police force
– Videography of the event will be conducted by Inspr.DCRB Bhadrak
– ⁠Fire and Ambulance Services are kept ready for emergency situations.
*Social Media Restriction*
To prevent the spread of misinformation and maintain peace, the use and access of social media platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook, X, and other internet and data services has been prohibited for 24 hours from 6:00 AM on June 12, 2025, to 6:00 AM on June 13, 2025, in the following areas:
– Bhadrak Municipal area
– Bhadrak Block area
– Tihidi Block area
– Dhamnagar Block area
– Dhamnagar NAC area
This restriction is imposed under the provisions of Section S(2) of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885, read with Rule 2(1) of the Temporary Suspension of Telecom Services (Public Emergency/Public Safety) Rules, 2017.
*Current Situation*
The situation is being closely monitored, by DIG,Eastern Range, Balasore Dr Satyajit Naik and all necessary steps are being taken to maintain peace and communal harmony in the district. DIG,appeals for calm and restraint from the public and urge everyone to cooperate with the authorities in maintaining peace and order.
