A prominent Charity Institution registered in Government of Great Britain, SJSUK’s primary mission and prime vision are to establish a Grand Jagannatha Temple at London and evolve UK’s Capital city into a nerve centre of Jagannatha Culture in the Europe Continent.

The Finnest Group had pledged to donate a sum of 25 million pounds (Approximately Rs 250 crores) towards the construction of Lord Jagannatha Temple at London by the year 2024. Finnest Group has publicly committed this significant financial contribution in January 2023. A formal announcement to this effect was made by the Founder of the Finnest Group Biswanath Patnaik in presence of Gajapati Maharaja Shree Dibyasingha Deba in a public function at London in May 2023.

However inspite of repeated assurances and announcements by the representatives of Finnest Group in public and private forums,no funds have been made available to SJSUK by the Group so far.As a result the schedule for land acquisition and Temple construction faced inordinate delays. In view of the pressing need for the timely implementation of the Temple project,SJSUK in its Board meeting held recently has decided to part ways with Finnest Group and requested the Group and its representatives to desist from attributing any further references in public platforms about SJSUK and its collaboration in upcoming Lord Jagannatha’s Temple project in London.

In a statement issued by SJSUK after the Board meeting mentions that despite the momentary setback, the society remains firm on its commitment to realise its mission and vision of building up a massive Lord Jagannatha Temple complex at the heart of World’s Cultural Capital London. The statement further emphasises that the Trustees of SJSUK have reaffirmed their unwavering dedication, devotion and determination towards the aforesaid noble cause. The Trustees have appealed to Odisha Lovers and Lord Jagannatha’s devotees worldwide to donate generously for the implementation of this much cherished World Class Dream Temple project.

The statement concludes with the Trustees exuding their rock solid confidence that by the grace and blessings of Lord Jagannatha, the proposed Temple complex will definitely see the light of the day very soon and shall surely serve as the spiritual and cultural hub for the Global Odia community.
