CUTTACK: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today visited the Secondary Board High School in Cuttack and met the teachers and students of the institution. On this occasion, Shri Pradhan sat with the children in the smart classroom, observed the teaching methods and interacted with the students studying.
Shri Pradhan said that this institution, which has developed as a model high school for imparting education under the Odisha State Board system, has a unique identity. For the past 66 years, this school has been a laboratory of man-made factories. This is not an ordinary school but a school that is always experimenting with something or the other. Today, on the occasion of ‘National Space Day’, it is a matter of pride for me to come to this educational institution and unveil a logo of the Diamond Jubilee of the high school.
He further said that the modern method in which the teachers working here are imparting education by creating digital content through power points is highly commendable. Shri Pradhan advised the school authorities to impart education to the students in their mother tongue as per the suggestions of the National Education Policy, envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Union Minister met the old students of this high school and discussed the management of the school while maintaining the heritage and uniqueness of the educational institution. He said that the contribution of the old students in enhancing the glory of this educational temple is unparalleled. Many renowned personalities of Odisha have studied here and earned their fame in the country and abroad, adding to its glory. The Union Minister appealed to them to come forward to take care of this school.
