SAMBALPUR: Make cleanliness an integral part of our lives and pay more attention to cleanliness in the upcoming Parvan season. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has called upon the people of Sambalpur to celebrate the Swachhata Parva with joy and enthusiasm like a festival and take the resolve to make our city a clean city.
On Sunday, Shri Pradhan inaugurated the “Swachhta Hi Seva-2025” program organized by the Sambalpur Municipal Corporation at Rajpur in Sambalpur and felicitated the local cleanliness partners.
Appreciating the efforts to make Sambalpur clean, beautiful and green, he said that the cleanliness campaign has started in Sambalpur today ahead of the preparations for the celebration of ‘Seva Palkha’ on the occasion of the birthday of the country’s popular Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Sambalpur has performed better than the previous year in the cleanliness survey. Not only the people in charge should maintain cleanliness, but the people of Sambalpur will have to reform in cleanliness. Just as we celebrate all festivals with joy and enthusiasm, we have to keep the city clean. Only by keeping the society clean and beautiful will the society be healthy.
Shri Pradhan has expressed his gratitude to the employees, brothers and sisters, public, voluntary organizations and business organizations responsible for cleanliness in Sambalpur. The Union Education Minister has encouraged the cleanliness-keeping colleagues and called for adopting cleanliness for a healthy life. On this occasion, the public took a pledge to keep Sambalpur free from garbage and clean. A signature campaign has also been started for a clean Sambalpur. Odisha Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Minister Ravi Naik was a prominent present in the program.
