NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan today paid a courtesy call on Indian astronaut and International Space Station (ISS) astronaut Subhanshu Shukla.
During the interview, Shri Pradhan Shukla’s courage and adventurous journey were praised and he was described as a source of inspiration for crores of youth of the country. On this occasion, there was a detailed discussion on how space science and research can be included in school and higher education levels.
Shri Pradhan said that under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India has emerged as a leading nation in the field of space. To take this reform forward, our priority is to attract the next generation towards space science and develop them into competent ‘space professionals’ of the future as per the National Education Policy. The Union Minister expressed the hope that this meeting will open the doors of new possibilities in the field of education.
