ANGUL/BHUBANEWAR:Prioritizing infrastructure development and public amenities in Satkoshia area of Angul district, Union Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan today laid the foundation stone of six major developmental projects related to the construction of roads and bridges approved from the District Mineral Fund (DMF).
On this occasion, Shri Pradhan said that due to the change in DMF policy by the Modi government, today Angul district is getting about Rs 500 crore annually for development, which is helping in changing the landscape of the region. Today, the foundation stone of many development projects approved from the District Mineral Fund was laid. In the coming days, the wireless road from Balijereng and the road from Manikyodi to Krishnachandragarh via Kulsar will be constructed. Similarly, funds have been allocated for the road from Sardhapur to Pathigarh and from Antuliya to Tabada. Along with all these projects, the foundation stone was also laid for the construction of ‘Matelia Bridge’ on the Sardhapur-Gadeimunda road and ‘Kainya Bridge’ on the Nuavad Dand Sahi road.
Shri Pradhan said that these projects will directly benefit the people of the entire region including Sardhapur, Badahinsar and Badakerjang. Improved roads and bridges will not only ease connectivity but will also give a new impetus to the economic progress of the region by boosting the agriculture and trade sectors. In his speech, the Union Minister focused on the main problem of the region – ‘Drinking and Cultivation Water’. He expressed his commitment on how to ensure good crops and make Angul a leading district by investing DMF funds properly. He called upon everyone to work together to take the eight-acre region in the Mahanadi basin to the forefront of development.
