Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Lays Foundation Stone and Inaugurates Tata Steel Foundation’s Social Infrastructure Projects in Angul and Dhenkanal

ANGUL/DHENKANAL: On the occasion of the holy ‘Ganesh Puja’, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today laid the foundation stone and dedicated to the public various social infrastructure projects of Tata Steel Foundation in Angul and Dhenkanal and launched a tree plantation campaign.

Union Minister Pradhan inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of Tata Steel Foundation’s social infrastructure projects at Angul Baanrapal. He laid the foundation stone of 20 km solar powered road lighting from Santri Chackar to Mahidhar to Hatura and 3 km lighting system of NH-55 from Itap to Nuahata. Under the patronage of the Union Minister, cement concrete roads and drains were constructed in Angul Baanrapal block Nuahata, construction of community centers, high masts and streetlights was started. Similarly, information centers, Narendrapur Vidyalaya, high masts and streetlights were also inaugurated in Hindola and Odapada blocks of Dhenkanal. Shri Pradhan congratulated Tata Steel Foundation for this initiative and said that the lighting project will make people’s travel easy and safe. Apart from this, the people of the local area will be greatly benefited by the social infrastructure projects inaugurated. Their lives will be made easier.

Earlier in the program, Shri Pradhan planted trees under the ‘Ek Peed Maa Ke Naam 2.0’ campaign at the Tata Steel Meramandali Biodiversity Park in Shibpur, Dhenkanal. The Union Minister thanked the Tata Steel Foundation for its innovative efforts to create forests to protect the environment in the industrial area of ​​Dhenkanal. He said that “Ek Peed Maa Ke Naam” is an emotional idea started by the imagination of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The main objective of the campaign is to protect the environment through tree plantation and create awareness among the general public for planting trees. Planting trees means creating a life. Shri Pradhan has called upon all of us to plant trees everywhere, starting from our homes and turning this tree planting campaign into a mass movement.
