SAMBALPUR:Our main goal is to move beyond literacy in Sambalpur district and create a ‘knowledge-based economy’, said Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan while inaugurating the ‘Vivitsa World School’ built at Bhalukunda in Sambalpur on Tuesday.
On this occasion, he congratulated all the students, teachers and the management committee of the school and said, the beginning of a new chapter of education in this heart of western Odisha will be like a milestone in the education sector of the entire state. While renowned educational institutions like IIM, Bhimsar Medical College, VSUIT and Sambalpur University in Sambalpur district are carrying its specialty, now ‘Bivitsa World School’ has joined this glorious journey. Nowadays, when modern technologies like AI are taking new forms, our main goal is to go beyond literacy and create a ‘knowledge-based economy’, in which this institution will play a major role. Shri Pradhan expressed the hope that institutions like Bivitsa will play an important role in this direction.
Language is the foundation of progress all over the world. According to the visionary ‘National Education Policy-2020’ of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it is the moral responsibility of all of us to provide all-round development of our new generation by giving priority to Indianness and mother tongue. Our main goal is to make Sambalpur stronger than Stanford and Silicon Valley in the field of education and technology. To realize this dream, it is essential to give priority to mother tongue and develop ‘critical thinking’ among the students.
During this visit, Shri Pradhan visited the school and visited the smart classrooms, labs, and playgrounds for the visiting students.
