BARIPADA: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who is on a visit to Mayurbhanj district, has been welcomed by the public and activists at various places.
Union Minister Shri Pradhan, after reaching Balasore station this morning, left for Mayurbhanj Baripada to attend government and social programs. Shri Pradhan was welcomed by common citizens and activists at many places including Balasore, Remuna, Badasahi, Morada and Betanati. During the visit, Shri Pradhan inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various projects in Baripada. The Union Minister inaugurated the administrative building of ‘Mayurbhanj Athletic Association’ in Baripada, the Baripada Chhau Pendal Project and the Jubilee Park and Jhinjiri Dam renovation projects in Baripada.
On this, Shri Pradhan said that the double engine government is committed to the development of Mayurbhanj district. The administrative building of ‘Mayurbhanj Athletic Association’ in Baripada is an important step to promote our young talents and develop sports infrastructure. Chhau dance is a symbol of Mayurbhanj’s cultural heritage.
The adjacent area along with the Baripada Chhau Pendal will be improved. In the coming days, this project will provide a beautiful infrastructure for Chhau dance and other cultural programs. The renovation project of Jubilee Park and Jhinjiri Dam in Baripada, Mayurbhanj will enhance the beauty of the city and make this place a major tourist center.
She expressed her happiness by joining the traditional dance ‘Karma Nach’ with her sisters from the tribal community in Baripada.
