Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Inaugurates and lays Foundation Stone of various developmental Projects in Kishore Nagar, Angul

ANGUL/BHUBANESWAR:Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday attended the ‘Sub-Divisional Level Agricultural Machinery Fair-2025’ organized at Athamallik Kishorenagar, Angul district and laid the foundation stone of 36 new projects worth Rs 118 crore for the development of the region and inaugurated 22 projects worth Rs 31 crore.

Shri Pradhan said that this project worth more than Rs 150 crores will bring about a huge positive change in the lifestyle of the common man, related to transportation, health, education and social welfare. He said that the government under the leadership of the country’s successful Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working with a vision to develop the agriculture sector and double the income of farmers. In the coming days, with the help of the double engine government, the irrigation system in this district will be improved and a comprehensive plan will be prepared to increase production in allied sectors like agricultural produce, horticulture, animal husbandry, fisheries and dairy farming.

It is worth noting that on the occasion of this sub-district level agricultural machinery fair-2025, 58 different projects have been launched for the development of the district with a total cost of more than Rs 149.56 crore. In this context, the foundation stone of 36 new projects worth Rs 118.35 crore has been laid, which includes 5 projects worth Rs 50.13 crore of the Road and Housing Department, 18 projects worth Rs 3.80 crore of the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department, 9 projects worth Rs 51.40 crore of the Rural Development Department, 2 projects worth Rs 10.16 crore of the Scheduled Castes and Tribes Department and 2 projects worth Rs 2.86 crore of the Health and Family Welfare Department.

Along with this, 22 projects worth Rs 31.21 crore were also inaugurated for the public service. These include 2 projects worth Rs 13.63 crore of the Road and Housing Department, 14 projects worth Rs 2.54 crore of the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department, 1 project worth Rs 3.15 crore of the Rural Development Department, 1 project worth Rs 3.81 crore of the Scheduled Castes and Tribes Department, 2 projects worth Rs 7.16 crore of the School and Mass Education Department and 2 projects worth Rs 0.92 crore of the Skill Development and Technical Education Department. All these projects will bring about improvement in the transportation, health, education and social welfare sectors of Angul district and will benefit the general public in particular. Government facilities were distributed to 229 beneficiaries at the sub-district level agricultural machinery fair.
