SAMBALPUR: A meeting titled “Prosperous Village, Prosperous Sambalpur” was held on Sunday under the chairmanship of Union Education Minister and Sambalpur MP Dharmendra Pradhan in the presence of Sambalpur District Administrative Officers.
The meeting discussed the importance of basic amenities for the citizens in the rural areas of Sambalpur, cleanliness, drinking water, livelihood, administrative reforms and related infrastructure development. Emphasis was placed on empowering workers under the MRNEGA scheme, making small traders self-reliant under the PM Swanidhi scheme, and making the financial work of mothers and sisters of SHG organizations systematic and self-reliant.
Shri Pradhan said that there is no dearth of plans with the Government of India and the State Governments. Many departments, policies and programmes are being implemented. Our main goal is to provide maximum facilities to the citizens. Keeping in mind the potential, infrastructure, production and market of Sambalpur, our goal is to take the Sambalpuri brand forward, said Shri Pradhan.
The meeting was attended by State Minister for Panchayati Raj, Rural Development and Drinking Water Ravi Narayan Naik, Sambalpur MLA Jai Narayan Mishra and Sambalpur District Administrative Officers.
