BHUBANESWAR:Odia children need to be prepared for the future. In the changing technology landscape, our efforts are to explore global knowledge through them. With this aim in mind, world-leading institutions including Singapore’s GFTN, AIDF and National University of Singapore have jointly launched a FinTech training program at SDI, Bhubaneswar, which is a welcome step, said Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan.

Shri Pradhan attended the “The Edu Dialogue – Future with Technology” event organized by Skill Development Centre and GFTN on Friday. He participated in the news session and expressed his views. Shri Pradhan said that Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Virtual Reality (VR) are transforming the way we learn, work and communicate.

It is not just a subject now but has become a part of our lifestyle; starting from audio communication to complex solutions, it is being implemented everywhere. We are now moving towards Industrial Revolution 5.0. Future technologies, especially 8G and quantum computing, will create a new identity in the coming days. To face this technological change, we need to create not just campuses but a culture of learning and skills that fosters new skills, heights, dreams and aspirations. In this context, SDI Bhubaneswar’s determination to prepare our students for global competition is commendable.

Shri Pradhan SDI Bhubaneswar is situated in an area rich in history. The legacy of the Paik Urpshak led by the great warrior Bakshi Jagabandhu is here. It stands as a symbolic meeting point of its heritage and future. He gave examples of Konark Sun Temple, Puri Sri Temple and Bhubaneswar Lingaraj Temple and said that these are not just monuments, but a scientifically designed architectural masterpiece and a science experiment designed by our ancestors. We have to plan for the future keeping in mind the needs of today.

Shri Pradhan further said that Odisha will complete 100 years of its formation as a separate province on the basis of language in 2036. Therefore, our goals for the next 10 years need to be clear. Our first goal is to create a developmental environment by 2035, where we will not only seek employment, but also emerge as employers. We have to prepare ourselves for this historic moment. We have to be prepared for this time and present our sense of responsibility as Odias. To do this, we have to be brave and proud and bring prosperity and fulfillment through hard work.

The most important goal is social responsibility. Someone’s rights are fulfilled when someone takes responsibility. A healthy, prosperous and developed Odisha will be created only by taking care of children who are suffering from malnutrition due to lack of nutrition by providing nutritious food. In this way, we can realize the dream of a developed India through a developed Odisha.

It was revealed that recently, the state government’s Electronics and IT Department and Singapore-based Global Finance and Technology Network (GFTN) launched the ‘Integrated Global Financial Technology Enablement Hub’ (I-GFTCH) – BharatNetra to enable the youth of Odisha to take full advantage of the 21st century in the FinTech sector. The main objective of this center is to train more than 7,000 students in key areas of technology, regulation and business in the next five years. To take forward this important initiative, an interaction program was organized with Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Shri Pradhan interacted with students, staff, instructors from different parts of the country including Odisha. Harapriya Reddy, Suman Kumar Sahabi, Vikas Kumar, Lisa Behera, Abhijit Naik, Abhijit Samantaray, Gangadhar Dash, Sashwat Mohanty interacted with key Union Ministers.
