BHUBANESWAR:Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan today inaugurated the three-day ‘Samaveshi Shiksha Sammelan’ organized by the Union Ministry of Education. The main objective of the Sammelan is to ensure an equal, dignified and self-reliant future for every child in the country.
On this occasion, Shri Pradhan said that inclusive education is not just a government scheme, but a national vision. An equal and sensitive education system is essential to build a ‘developed India’ based on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’. Due to the humanistic vision of the Prime Minister, the category of Divyang has been increased from 6 to 21, which will help in providing support to a larger number of children. About 25 crore students will be identified through ‘Prashat App’ under the National Education Policy. The main objective of this conference is to use technology and artificial intelligence to identify learning problems like dyslexia and dyscalculia in children early and provide them with appropriate support.
Inclusive education is not the responsibility of the school or the family alone, but it is a shared responsibility of the entire society and all government departments. Shri Pradhan emphasized in his address that equal opportunities, respect and participation will pave the way for a ‘Developed India’. The conference will provide a new vision to the country’s education system through in-depth discussions among educationists, experts and policy makers over the next three days.
