Under the guidance of DIG ( Central Range) Jajpur police after rigorous efforts has been successful in detection and nabbing of 14 accused involved in a series of burglaries in jajpur district

JAJPUR/CUTTACK: Under the guidance of Honble DIG ( Central Range) ,Dr Satyajit Naik,  Jajpur police after rigorous efforts has been successful in detection and nabbing of 14 individuals involved in a series of burglaries in jajpur district for the last 6 months.

The accused persons mentioned  from  Sl no-1 to 10 forming a gang had been committing burglaries of gold, silver jewellery articles, cash etc from the houses of above villages under the P.S limits of Dharmasala,Kuakhia,Bramhabarda,Chandikhole and Bali Chandrapur, from the month March-2025 onwards. Getting reliable information about the above accused persons from reliable sources and as per direction of Hon’ble SP, Jajpur, multiple teams were formed for apprehension of the above noted accused persons as well as recovery of the stolen articles. Due to the sincere and timely efforts of the raiding teams, the above noted accused persons and the receivers were apprehended and the valuables as noted above were recovered from their possession.

The principal accused persons namely Mehboob, Guro and Aman regularly visited the jewelry shop of Kanha @Janmejaya Sahoo at Balichandrapur Bazar and handed over the stolen jewellery articles for disposal. After receiving the stolen jewellery articles, the receiver Kanha used to proceed to the jewellery shop of Amal Seth of Nayasadak, Cuttack who alongwith two of his associates would immediately melt the same and prepare raw gold and delivered cash on commission basis. The accused persons used to share the cash as per their participation in the offences. The verification of involvement of the accused persons in other P.S limits are still under progress and will be forwarded to the Hon’ble Court of J.M.F.C, Chandikhol shortly.
