BHUBANESWAR: ISP-Integrate 2024, a two-day program focusing on novel surgical techniques in Periodontics and Implantology which was organised in association with the Indian Society of Periodontics (ISP) Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Study Group, concluded at the Institute of Dental Sciences (IDS), faculty of dental sciences of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) here..
Attended by dental professionals and Periodontics from across Odisha and neighbouring states, the event was attended by Prof. (Dr.) D. Gopalkrishnan, President of ISP, Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Jain, Secretary of ISP, Prof. (Dr.) Subash Raj, President of ISP Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Study Group, Prof. (Dr.) Neeta Mohanty, Dean of IDS and Head of Department of Periodontics Prof. (Dr.) Rinkee Mohanty.
The highlight of ISP-Integrate 2024 was the hands-on workshop conducted by Dr. Meet Shah from Surat who demonstrated soft tissue harvesting, grafting and suturing techniques. This interactive session enabled the participants to get valuable practical experience under expert guidance.
Dr. Amit Wadhawan from Delhi delivered the guest lecture on perioplastic surgeries shedding light on latest advancements in the field. The event also featured a panel discussion and a problem-solving session where experts addressed common challenges in periodontics and implantology fostering an environment of learning and collaboration.
The inaugural session of the program was addressed by Dr. Devpratim Mohanty, Organising Chairman and Prof. (Dr.) Anurag Satpathy, Organising Secretary of the event.
The program attracted a diverse audience including doctors, students, faculty members and healthcare professionals. The participants had the opportunity to engage with leading experts and explore emerging trends in periodontics and implantology, fostering an environment of learning and collaboration.
As part of the program’s educational outreach, an e-poster competition was held for undergraduates enabling students to showcase their research and innovative ideas.
