Tribal Youth Exchange Programme flagged off in Malkangiri

MALKANGIRI/BHUBANESWAR: On 20th January 2023,in a ceremonial event organized at Sector BSF Malkangiri, Sh Nitesh Wadhwani, IPS, Superintendent of Police, flagged off the 5th ,6th & 7th phase of 14th Tribal Youth Exchange Programme consisting of a total 60 candidates (32 males and 28 females youth) of Malkangiri district, who are residing in far flung areas, along with 06 BSF officials  as escorts.

 This event was organized for three groups of candidates. Two groups each consisting 10 male and 10 female candidates shall tour to Alipur (Delhi) w.e.f. 23rd to 29th January 2023 and Chandigarh w.e.f. 22nd to 28th January 2023 respectively, whereas another group of 20 candidates (male-12 and female-08) will visit Kochi/Kerala from 23 rd to 29th January 2023.

  During the programme Sh Maheshwar Nayak, Addl. District Magistrate, Malkangiri, Sh Shiv Om, Comdt/OPS and Sh I H Khan, Comdt/ADM, Sector HQ Malkangiri. Sh Harish Rupal, District Youth Officer and other BSF Officials were also present.

  The programme is being organized by Border Security Force (Ministry of Home Affairs) in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (Ministry of youth affairs and sports) Govt of India.

  Earlier, three phases under 14th Tribal Youth Exchange Programme 2022-23 completed successfully (i.e. Ahmedabad, Gujarat w.e.f. 16/10/2022 to 22/10/2022 for 70 tribal candidates, Bengaluru, Karnataka w.e.f. 20/11/2022 to 26/12/2022 for 30 tribal candidates and Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh w.e.f 16 /12/22 to 22/12/22 for 20 tribal candidates). Further one group of candidates were already on their tour to Puducherry w.e.f. 19th to 25th Jan 23.

During the entire tour, the youth would visit their respective locations from 23rd January to 29th January and participate in various events organized by the respective States and Union Territory. During the visit, they would get an opportunity to meet constitutional authorities such as Governor and  Lt. Governor of the State and Union territory, great achievers, sports personalities, film/TV stars and other important personalities.

They will also get orientation in career guidance and counseling on Industrial training. During their stay, they will also visit major industries/corporate houses, institutes of national importance, historical and cultural places for better understanding of the social and cultural ethos of the country. The entire programme is planned to enrich their knowledge and provide them better exposure at a bigger platform which would help them to choose a bright career ahead.
