BHUBANESWAR:The social status of the tribal community in India is very vast and glorious. The British created a new structure for the education and development of the tribal community to defame our country. After the independence of the country, no work was done for the development of the tribal community. The first Prime Minister of the country, Jawaharlal Nehru, taking into account the needs of the tribal community, forcibly imposed various schemes on them in a foreign structure.
But no attention was paid to what the tribal community wanted. As a result, the development of this community was hampered. Honorable Shri Narendra Modi, after becoming the Prime Minister of the country, thought deeply about this and started the Tribal Comprehensive Development Project five years ago. The main objective of this scheme is to ensure the comprehensive and balanced development of the tribal community so that they do not have to go to other states to work. In this regard, MP Shri Ananta Nayak has informed that a one-day Tribal Comprehensive Development Project workshop has been organized at the state office.
Giving information about the workshop, Shri Nayak said that under this scheme, the BJP government has started an effort so that the tribal community can get work in their own areas and can voluntarily participate in the development of their areas. Under this scheme, instead of relying solely on the government, as a citizen of India, a collective effort will be made to develop the tribal community by taking the administration, public funds, and voluntary organizations. In this regard, tribal villages will be selected and their main problems will be solved and the said areas will be developed. The workshop discussed how to develop the said areas according to the wishes of the tribals instead of imposing the scheme on them like the previous government. Joint efforts will be made in this regard with the administration, voluntary organizations and individuals. Tribal MPs and MLAs will take 20 to 25 villages of their constituencies as targets and accelerate the development work. MP Shri Nayak said that the dream of a developed India, which has been envisioned by Prime Minister Modi, can lead to the comprehensive and balanced development of the tribal community.
Before the workshop, State President Shri Manmohan Samal, State In-charge Vijay Pal Singh Tomar, Co-in-charge Ms. Lata Usendi, Minister Nityanand Gand along with many MLAs and party leaders paid tributes by garlanding the photographs of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and Utkalamani Gopabandhu Dash. After this, an exhibition based on Tribal Integrated Development Project was inaugurated.
