NEW DELHI: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan hoisted the national flag along with family members and relatives at his residence in New Delhi on the occasion of the 79th ‘Independence Day’.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the tricolour is a living symbol of India’s unity, diversity and pride. He called upon us to remember the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and take the pledge to build a prosperous, better and self-reliant India. Earlier, Shri Pradhan attended the special Independence Day celebrations at Lalkilla and listened to and appreciated the speech of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s powerful speech at the Red Fort on the historic occasion of Independence Day has further strengthened the deep faith and strong resolve of 1.4 billion Indians towards ‘Developed India 2047’. The Union Minister thanked the Prime Minister for important announcements like Pradhan Mantri Vikashit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, National Groundwater Research Mission, Next Generation GST Reforms, High Power Demography Mission, Reform Task Force for a $10 Trillion Economy by 2047.
Similarly, from the call for indigenous semiconductor chips, Made in India jet engines to supporting Vocal for Local, Prime Minister Modi’s inspiring speeches have brought together and inspired all the countrymen to set a new vision for the progress of the country. On this Independence Day, let us all take a pledge to fulfill the Prime Minister’s dream of ‘Developed India 2047’ and become partners in building a prosperous, great and self-reliant nation, Shri Pradhan has called upon us.
