BHUBANESWAR: The questions that media and intellectuals are not asking to Naveen Patnaik, the Leader of Opposition and Former Chief Minister.
Naveen Babu went to Kokilben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai for surgery on cervical spondylosis disease on June 20. And his personal doctor and renowned heart surgeon Dr Ramakant Panda informed that his surgery was successful yesterday. As a common citizen, I will hope that a former Chief Minister returns after recovering.
However, whatever unanswered questions are behind this surgery of Naveen Babu, are not raised by any media or any intelligent person. The first thing is that he gave this information on his Facebook and X (Twitter) pages last 19th. In fact, no one has come to know that the mentioned X page is being run by Naveen Patnaik or someone else (disclosed from the Right to Information Act).
It is not known whether Rang is his official page or not. As the leader of the opposition and a former chief minister, he is getting all the benefits from the government along with all the facilities of the cabinet, while his treatment and visits should be kept through an official spokesperson.
Secondly, he has not kept his medical treatment tour on the same day when the Prime Minister is visiting Odisha, that is, to oppose the support towards Modi and to increase his sympathy towards himself, he has chosen the same day to show political tricks. Even before his treatment, he has called thousands of people to gather sympathy with the people of the state.
No one shows a patiara by calling thousands of people before receiving treatment from any traditional or ethical point of view, instead of asking the supporters to felicitate them on their return from treatment, but how can cheap publicity be created?
Since he is the leader of the opposition, all the details from his treatment should be reported through one of his spokesperson (non party) or representatives which he is not doing. Why would his brother Prem Patnaik inform the people of the state that his operation was successful? An authorized representative of Naveen Babu should inform the people of the state about this.
His treatment and visits are not personal at all but it is a public interest matter. So all the citizens of the state have the right to know.
But Naveen babu is good at acting and cheating, so why will he follow the protocol of the opposition party instead of how to create more and more sympathies by deceiving and fooling people. That is why he has arranged all this.
