BHUBANESWAR/CUTTACK: Odisha DGP Bijay Kumar Sharma is no mood to show any lenience to touts and middle men operating in various Hospitals, RTOs and other Government establishments. ‘The CBI Man’ Bijay Kumar Sharma is on a special drive with cops grilling near about 200 till last reports came in.
Sources in Cuttack’s Cantonment Road DGP office as well as Transit Office in State Capital also revealed that after Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s strong warning, DGP is no mood to neglect it.
DGP office said 12 more were arrested in Nayagarh, Boudh ,Kalahandi ,Keonjhar ,Mayurbhanj and Cuttack district.The release said the police arrested 2 in Jajpur RTO while 2 others were held in Nuapada district.
Nearly 200 including some women, have been nabbed during the drive to eliminate them from operating in hospital and RTO premises.
DGP Sharma had also directed district SPs to take stringent action against persons found to be forcefully collecting donations (chanda) during this festival season.
