CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR: After days off, Team India on Saturday morning spent some quality time at Nets at the Historic Barabati Stadium in Cuttack head of Sunday encounter against the visiting West Indies in the 3rd ODI.
The Indian team left Hotel Mayfair Lagoon in Bhubaneswar and Bababati Stadium at around 10.30 am while the visitors will do their nets practice in afternoon after 2pm.
Both the teams were scheduled to have their net practice session on Friday, but the schedule was cancelled as they decided to take rest for the day.
To welcome the players, OCA has made special arrangements. Billboards and posters of the photos of the players from both teams have been put up at different places outside the stadium.
To watch the net practice of both the team, OCA has decided to open gallery no-6 for the people.Meanwhile, the commissionerate police is leaving no stones unturned to ensure full-proof security to the teams.
According to a top police official, 80 platoons of armed police have been placed in the city for the match.
After their grueling effort on Wednesday, the hosts arrived in the state capital on Thursday where they were accorded with a traditional welcome. The two teams have got a three-day gap before the series decider to be played in Cuttack on Sunday.
And with no practice scheduled for Friday, the Men in Blue utilised the opportunity to get the much “needed” break to refresh themselves. India skipper Virat Kohli put some pictures on social media where he is seeing enjoying the “day off” with his teammates.
